Frequently Asked Questions

Where does clothing go that you cannot sell?

We are fortunate to be part of a very generous community and we do receive more clothing then we can sell.  For clothing we do not sell, we find other opportunities for the garments.  For example, we have provided clothing for victims of Hurricanes Florence and Michael through a Strasburg resident.   We also give unsold clothing to other non-profit organizations that have clients who would benefit.  We are always looking for organizations who need what we have.  If you know of such organizations, please contact us.

Do you put items on hold for customers?

No, we cannot hold items for our customers.

Are the prices at your store negotiable?

Our prices are so low, we rarely are provided the opportunity to negotiate.  However, if a customer wants to offer another prices, we will listen.  It is important to remember, our sales are covering our operating costs, so we can use profits to benefit the community.

Can we drop off merchandise that we would like to get rid of?

We take gently used clothing and house goods.  It is helpful when the items come in clean.  In addition we can only take donations during normal operating hours.  Items dropped off outside of operating hours can be ruined due to poor weather.  You can bring your donations to the front or back of the shop.

Can students volunteer for community service credit?

Yes, having students on our volunteer team highly benefits the shop.  We will work with the students on hours they can commit to working in the shop as well as their responsibilities while working side-by-side with our other volunteers.

Are the prices at your shop negotiable?

Our prices are so reasonable (we really mean low) that we rarely need to negotiate.  However, we will consider any offers made.
